EDF says has successfully carried out 1.5 bln eur bond issue

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - EDF said it has successfully carried out a 1.5 bln eur bond issue, its first since 2004.
The company said French and foreign institutional investors subscribed to the bond issue.
"The issue has a ten-year maturity and forms part of the group's policy to increase the average duration of its debt, which currently stands at six years," the French electricity company said.
