French Dec services PMI 58.9 vs 59.2 in Nov - sources

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - The French services sector purchasing managers' index eased to a seasonally adjusted 58.9 in December from 59.2 in November, according to market sources.
Economists polled by Thomson Financial News were expecting a greater fall in the December reading, to 58.1.
A level above 50 indicates that the services sector is generally expanding, while a reading below 50 suggests that it is generally contracting.
