New Business Creation In France Up 12.5% In 2007
PARIS (Dow Jones)--The number of new businesses created in France rose to 321,478 in 2007, a rise of 12.5% on the year, the French national statistics office Insee said Tuesday.
In the fourth quarter alone, the number of new businesses created rose 12.9% on the year, thanks mainly to the commercial and services sector, the statistics agency reported.
The figure for December, corrected for seasonal factors, was up 4.8% from a year earlier, according to Insee.
