Swedish PMI Rises In December

AM Sweden`s Purchasing Managers` Index, or PMI, climbed to a seasonally adjusted 55.5 in December from 55.1 logged in November, a report from Swedbank and the Swedish Association for Purchasing and Logistics, or SILF, indicated Wednesday.
A PMI reading above 50 indicates expansion in manufacturing industry, while a level below 50 suggests contraction.
The index for output rose to 58.3 in December and the gauge for new orders increased to 57.1. Employment dropped 1.9 points to 53.8 in December.
